Pear & Cranberry Crumble

It combines the best summer fruits with a touch of cinnamon and butter. And since it has granola in it, we can call it a healthy dessert as well! Try this the next time you grill.

Ingredients

3 medium ripe pears, sliced
1/2 cup dried cranberries or Craisins
1/4 cup sugar
2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1 tablespoon butter

Topping:

2 tablespoons butter, melted

1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon

1 cup granola without raisins

 

Directions:

Place pears and cranberries in a bowl. Add sugar, flour, and cinnamon. Toss to cover. Add 1  tablespoon butter to a cast-iron skillet. Set grill to medium heat until butter is melted. Stir in fruit and cover 15-20 minutes or until pears are tender (15-20 minutes). Stir occasionally.
For topping, mix melted butter, cinnamon and granola. Sprinkle over pears. Grill, covered, 5 minutes. Serve warm. Great with a scoop of ice cream!
