How to Make the Most of Your Leftover Steak

Steak in KCTrust us, at McGonigle’s Market, we know a good steak when we see one. Short of a bellyache, it’s hard to let a delicious, flavorful, well-cooked steak go to waste. So, don’t!

That’s our rule, at least. To help you out, we put together a couple of leftover ideas to make your steak be the gift that keeps on giving.

The World’s Best Breakfast: Steak & Eggs

Talk about something to look forward to in the morning! How do you take your eggs? With steak is our answer. We like scrambled eggs, with steak and cheddar mixed in.

If we are feeling a little bit fancier, we will poach an egg, slice the leftover steak into thin strips and warm it on the skillet, put both on half of an English muffin, and then top with hollandaise sauce. Yum!

Stir Things Up: Beef Stir Fry

Don’t have much time to prepare dinner? Try this quick meal. Pick rice, noodles, or even quinoa. Let that cook.

In a skillet saute peppers, snow peas, broccoli, baby corn, and any other veggie you enjoy in teriyaki sauce. Next add in your leftover steak. Once the steak is warmed as well, add in the rice, noodles, or quinoa. Voila! One tasty dinner is ready.

The Tastiest Steak Sandwich, Ever.

Prepare your tastebuds for this delicious sandwich. Grab your leftover steak and place between two slices of your favorite bread.
