McGonigle’s Market is excited to announce that we have teamed up with the Midwest Foster Care and Adoption Association (MFCAA) for the 11th annual Ribs for Kids event. Yes, that means our delicious slabs of BBQ baby back ribs are being sold yet again to benefit a great, local cause.
Join us at McGonigle’s, on Ward Parkway at 79th, on April 25th and 26th from 8AM – 6PM to partake in this awesome Kansas City event.
Midwest Foster Care and Adoption Association Assists Local KC Families
MFCAA is a non-profit organization that provides support and services to the 1,900 foster children in the Kansas City area. Their mission is, “To provide foster and adoptive children a stable, loving and nurturing family environment by support and advocacy for abused and neglected children and the families caring for them.” McGonigle’s Randy Ross, his wife Lori, and Mike McGonigle collaborated to start Ribs for Kids eleven years ago after Lori helped start MFCAA back in 1998.
Bill McGonigle, our founder, was especially committed to children and family. He had nine children and instilled in each one of them a commitment to making the world a better place by strengthening the family. He was very generous in his lifetime, helping many struggling families to provide food for themselves. In his spirit, McGonigle’s Market has chosen to support the Midwest Foster Care and Adoption Association (MFCAA) in its goal to provide every child a “forever” home that is strong and financially sound.

Kansas City, We Need Your Help in Supporting MFCAA
Last year’s Ribs for Kids event raised over $30,000 for the Midwest Foster Care & Adoption Association. This was made possible with the help of our Kansas City friends, who generously donated to the cause and ate nearly 3,500 slabs of BBQ ribs. This year, we are hoping to rally our support for MFCAA once again on April 25th and 26th. Stop by McGonigle’s and pick up a slab, or three, of our tasty, cooked baby back ribs. For each slab purchased, McGonigle’s donates nearly half of the proceeds back to MFCAA. If you can’t stay for the ribs, purchase a token. Each token is good for a slab of ribs at any time of the year and a percentage of the proceeds still go to MFCAA.
