Most of you are already dreaming of yummy Thanksgiving meals, which means you’ve also thought about which outfit will best hide that dreaded, post-Thanksgiving bloat. It’s okay, people. We know the struggle! But how can you keep your guest’s stomachs from growling, without spoiling their appetite before the big meal? McGonigle’s has just what you need!
3-Ingredient Cranberry Brie Bites
- 1 package of frozen puff pastry, thawed
- 1/2 lb Brie cheese
- 1 cup cranberry sauce (purchased or homemade)
First, preheat your oven to 375° Fahrenheit. Next, take a pizza cutter or sharp knife and cut the sheets of puff pastry into approximately 2×2 inch squares and place them on parchment paper on a cookie sheet.
Cube the brie cheese into about 1/2 inch cubes and place a cube on top of each puff pastry. Lastly, top the brie with a small dollop of cranberry sauce and bake for 10 minutes or until the corners of the puff pastry are golden brown. Let cool for five minutes and dig in!
Pepper Jelly Cream Cheese Spread
- 1 jar of Pepper Jelly from McGonigle’s
- 8 oz cream cheese
- 1/4 C butter, melted
- 1/4 C green onions, diced
This dip is easy as pie. While you’re at McGonigle’s getting your other ingredients, simply choose a pepper jelly from the store and put it on top of the following. Combine cream cheese and butter into a bowl and beat with an electric mixer. Next, fold in the green onions and spread this dip onto a platter. Lastly, take your delicious pepper jelly and spread it on top of the cream cheese spread, serve with crackers, and enjoy!
Prosciutto Wrapped Asparagus
- 6 ounces sliced prosciutto, halved horizontally
- 1 pound asparagus, trimmed
Wrap halved prosciutto slices on each asparagus spear at an angle, covering the entire length of the spear. Repeat with remaining prosciutto and asparagus. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add prosciutto wrapped asparagus and cook until prosciutto is crisp and asparagus is tender, about 2-3 minutes. Serve immediately.
